Owner

Heather

A fifth-generation Montanan who spent much of her childhood in Europe, Heather brings a unique perspective and appreciation for beauty, culture, and meaningful experiences to her work. After graduating high school in Germany, she returned home to Montana and ultimately built a career centered around exceptional service, thoughtful design, and creating unforgettable experiences.

Known for her calm presence, meticulous attention to detail, and keen eye for design, Heather has a way of making even the most complex events feel effortless. She takes the time to truly understand each couple, translating their vision and personalities into celebrations that feel intentional, personal, and distinctly their own. Her high standards and hands-on approach allow her couples to feel confident throughout the planning process and fully present when their wedding day finally arrives.

For Heather, being trusted with one of the most meaningful days in a couple’s life is something she never takes for granted.

When she isn’t planning weddings, Heather can usually be found spending time with her husband, Victor, their two children, Dana and Beaudie, and their dog, Maui. She loves traveling, dancing, and, on a warm Montana summer day, floating the river with her favorite people.

Lead Planner

Sydney

Sydney is a Lead Planner at Carefree Events, bringing a thoughtful, organized, and detail-oriented approach to every celebration she helps bring to life. Born and raised in Chandler, Arizona, Sydney discovered her passion for weddings and events early on. She went on to graduate from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Public Relations and Business.

Knowing she wanted to build a career in the event industry, Sydney moved to Oregon after college, where she gained hands-on experience working in weddings before eventually making her way to Bozeman. Since joining Carefree Events, she has become an integral part of the planning team, working closely with couples and vendors to thoughtfully manage the many details that go into creating a seamless wedding day.

Sydney is known for being organized, communicative, adaptable, and calm under pressure. She loves building relationships with her couples and helping guide them through the planning process so they can feel confident, supported, and genuinely excited about their celebration.

Outside of weddings, Sydney is a thrill seeker who loves camping, hiking, rafting, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. In the winter, you can usually find her skiing, and year-round, she loves discovering new breweries and restaurants around Bozeman.

Rachel

Event Coordinator

Rachel is an Event Coordinator at Carefree Events, bringing a warm, organized, and detail-oriented approach to every celebration. With a background in communications and event management, Rachel has a natural ability to connect with couples, vendors, and wedding parties while keeping even the smallest details on track.

Before joining Carefree Events, Rachel gained hands-on experience with a wedding planning company in Northwest Arkansas, assisting with wedding-day coordination, vendor management, setup, timelines, and the inevitable last-minute adjustments that come with bringing an event to life. Her calm demeanor, adaptability, and genuine love of hospitality make her a wonderful presence to have by your side throughout an event.

Rachel graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Communications and a minor in Event Management before making her way to Bozeman. She loves the creative and personal nature of weddings and especially enjoys seeing all of the details come together to create a seamless and memorable celebration.

As part of the Carefree Events team, Rachel is dedicated to making sure every couple feels cared for, supported, and free to be fully present for their celebration.

Event Coordinator

Lowery is an Event Coordinator at Carefree Events, bringing a creative eye, thoughtful attention to detail, and years of experience in high-end client service and event production to the team. After spending seven years working in New York City’s contemporary art world, Lowery traded city life for the mountains and made her way to Bozeman.

Before joining Carefree Events, Lowery worked with galleries and artists across New York, Los Angeles, Austin, and Aspen. Throughout her career, she managed exhibitions, international projects, private dinners, openings, and special events while working closely with artists, collectors, and clients. Her experience taught her how to balance creativity with logistics, anticipate needs, and remain composed in fast-paced environments—all skills that translate seamlessly to a wedding day.

Lowery has a natural appreciation for art, design, and the thoughtful details that make an experience memorable. She loves being part of the behind-the-scenes work that brings a couple’s vision to life and making sure every detail is thoughtfully executed so they can simply enjoy their celebration.

As part of the Carefree Events team, Lowery brings a calm, capable presence and a willingness to jump in wherever she’s needed—all while ensuring our couples and their guests feel genuinely cared for.
